Mexican Brownies topped with Dulce de Leche

Dulce de Leche Mexican Brownies

Looking for a scrumptious brownie, but one that’s easy to make? This is it! It begins with a packaged brownie mix, add in a couple of extra ingredients, then 2 amazing toppings and you will be famous!

These brownies are scrumptious with the perfect balance of flavor from the cayenne and cinnamon to make them extraordinary.

Then adding Marshmallow Creme and Dulce de Leche on top – how can you go wrong!

Take these on your next pot luck, party or for your family and they will be come requested over and over again.



1 package Betty Crocker Brownie mix – our family favorite is Betty Crocker Brownie Mix

Ingredients as listed on package

1 tsp. cayenne pepper

2 tsp. cinnamon

7-8 oz. jar marshmallow creme

13-14 oz. can dulce de leche 


Prepare baking pan by lining with parchment paper.

Coat pan and parchment paper with spray release.

Turn on oven to heat as according to package directions.

Mix brownies according to package instructions, then add in the cinnamon and cayenne pepper and mix well.

Pour brownie batter into prepared pan and bake as per instructions on the package.

Meanwhile, pour dulce de leche into a small microwavable bowl.

Microwave for about 1 minute, stir and repeat as needed until the sauce is softened and warmed through.Dulce de Leche BrownieWhen the brownies are cooked through, take out of oven. Right after removing the brownies from the oven and while they are hot, spoon the marshmallow cream in mounds all over the brownies.Dulce de Leche Mexican BrowniesNext spoon dulce de leche in between the marshmallow mounds.

Let the brownies with the toppings stand for about three minutes to soften.

Then using a table/butter knife or a a narrow spatula, being very gentle, swirl the marshmallow creme and dulce de leche together for a marble effect.

Cool completely.

Cut the brownies, dipping in a cup of warm water as needed.
