Cold & Flu Herbal Tea

Cold & Flu Herbal Tea

Easy Homemade Cold and Flu Fighting Herbal Teas

That season of the crud is upon us and so what does a girl do?

Why she calls her mom of course!

My mom gave me a couple of recipes from her friend and after tweaking them – yes I just couldn’t resist, I came up with my recipe AND I have the original two to share with you also.

Homemade herbal tea’s are so comforting and soothing when the cold and flu hits; make sure to save these and see which you like best. I’ll bet you like them all!

Carrie’s Soothing Herbal Tea

1/2- 1 cup Pineapple Juice

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 teaspoons Bragg Organic apple cider vinegar, preferred

1 teaspoon lemon juice Pinch of cayenne pepper

1 – 2 teaspoons honey, to taste Hot water to dilute if desired

In a small pan combine the pineapple juice, ginger root, cinnamon, vinegar, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer and then let sit for 3-5 minutes to steep.

Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a cup and pour in honey to taste. I like my drinks strong, but if you prefer add in enough hot water to your liking of potency and enjoy.
